Letter from the President, Michael Deluise
At the Melville Chamber of Commerce we are ready for
whatever twists and turns this New Year and new decade will bring to us, our
members and to the community we serve.
If we are to be totally honest, many of us were at least
somewhat caught off guard by the tough economic challenges thrown at our
businesses over the past few years. Truth is these little road blocks have made
us quite a bit smarter as we tightened ranks to add focus on sustainability as
we strengthened our bottom line. Last year quite a few of our members bucked the
economic down turn and proceeded to do very well.
Just wait till you see what we have planned for you in the
coming months. This is going to be an exiting year for your
Chamber.
One thing that is clearly evident is that no matter how big
or small or what type of business we are personally involved in, we are most
definitely in this together. That is why your Chamber is here. We are 100%
dedicated to helping you succeed. Our staff, board members and your fellow
members are only a phone call, email, or networking event away to help with
advice, introductions and solutions.
The one New Year's resolution you should make for 2010 is a
simple one. Resolve to take full advantage of your friends and colleagues from
your Melville Chamber of Commerce. Share your ideas. Ask your questions. And
build a successful business.
"Success in life and business" That's our New Year's wish
to you and yours. Stay in touch with us throughout the year. Never be shy. We
truly want your feedback and suggestions. Be sure to visit www.melvillechamber.org
frequently for news,
special events and updates.
On behalf
of the staff, board of directors, and your fellow members of the Melville
Chamber of Commerce, we share our best wishes and look forward to helping you
make 2010 a great year for each of us.
Best regards,
Michael Deluise
